DWR is excited to announce our 2026 Virginia Outdoor Women (VOW) Weekend Event! This event will take place on August 21-23 at Holiday Lake 4H Center in Appomattox, VA.
Important Event Information:
Cost: $235 (per person). The fee covers lodging, meals for the entire weekend, and the event T-shirt. Lodging consists of rustic cabins and/or bunk style housing. This is a NO REFUND event - please ensure you are able to attend prior to registering and making payment!
Registration: Registration will consist of TWO phases. For phase 1, each participant is required to register through Go Outdoors VA (same as other VOW events). Once registered in GOV, participants will receive an email with directions for phase 2. Emails explaining phase 2 will be sent the Friday/Monday after you register. If you register anytime between Monday at 12:01pm through Friday at 12:00pm, you will receive an email explaining phase 2 on that Friday. If you register anytime from 12:01pm on Friday through Monday at 12:00pm, you will receive an email on that Monday. Phase 2 will contain a link to complete both session selections/rankings and payment for the event (Holiday Lake 4H System). Registration is NOT complete until payment is received. Payments must be received within 72 hours after you receive the phase 2 instruction email. Participants who do not make timely payments will be removed from registration. Registrants who complete payment will receive an email indicating that they have successfully registered.
Session Information: Session selections are made through the registration process (phase 2). Final session selections will be available at event registration. Please NOTE: Sessions are determined on a first-come-first-served basis. To increase your chances of getting the sessions you want, completing early registration is strongly encouraged!
Group Registrations: Group registrations up to 10 individuals are allowed, but allparticipants must have a GOV account! Groups are encouraged to arrive as close to 5:30 as possible if lodging together is desired.
Additional Information: Once you have completed payment and received an email indicating that you have successfully registered - please be on the lookout for additional communication via email. More information will be shared with registrants as we get closer to the event date.
Post-Event Survey: After the conclusion of the event, you will receive a Post-Event Survey from our Human Dimensions group at DWR. Please be on the lookout for this email - your participation is greatly appreciated.
Waitlist: We expect this event to fill rather quickly. If you are interested in attending, we encourage you to join the waitlist in the event we have registrants that do not pay the fee. We will move down the waitlist in order of registration. However, being on the waitlist does NOT guarantee you will be added to the event.
